STRATEGIES: In terms of early childhood setting to extend the child’s language and literacy development we can use different strategies based on child interest and strengths and it should be linked to an early year’s learning framework (ELF). To continue with the castle theme Arson and his friends can play in the castle and they can pretend they are in the castle and they can put different dresses on and create a party and they can prepare different meals.

Imaginative play: Provide different types of boxes so that Arson and his friends can use their imaginative skills and creative skills to create the castle. Group time or Mat time: In the group time children can sing songs on the castle, read books on the castle and looking at the pictures related to the castle and develop their vocabulary. Reading Corner: Different types of books ND the favorites’ books from home can be incorporated in the reading corner which helps to increase the children Vocabulary, concentration and listening skills.

Reflection: The feedback provided by my peer is very well summarized in clear and understandable format. The examples provided in the potash are relevant and related to the scenario discussed. The language development of Arson is linked with the early year learning framework. The areas of improvement are my pitch and pace of my Voice and my speaking is quick and soft. I agree with this point because as I know sometimes in my real life speak quickly and it is hard for the other person to understand me. So I think I need to be care full for next time. Another thing I believe is also correct in which my peer said me to explain the term ELF and Skinner theory rather than just stating the words because if I explain term (ELF) and theory in brief than it is easy for the listener to understand rather than researching about themselves.

Overall, I believe that feedback provided by peer is clear and correct and in easily understand by me. There are different ways through which I can incorporate emergent literacy into my teaching: Providing a rich literacy environment and in which literacy is purposefully used and discussed. Teachers and children discuss their ideas and experiences throughout the day and in this way children build their communication skills, thinking abilities and extend their vocabulary.
