Terrorism Injustice
There are many types of injustices our society has to face but one that affects us as a whole is terrorism. Countries and Civilians have witnessed terrorism throughout their lifetime. Terrorism is the use of violent acts to frighten people in an area as a way of try Yin to achieve a social or political goal. Terrorism affects everyone. It makes us feel unsafe an d doubt the protection from the national security, which is supposed to keep us safe and s secured. Terrorism even affects young children and those who witness or are exposed are at risk from experiencing mental health difficulties.
Unfortunately, Terrorism is an injustice that is Witt eased around the world and affects the people. Terrorism is witnessed and experienced in our lives and around the world an d it is clearly shown in the novel, The Book Thief. The novel is set before, during and after World War II. It focuses around the life of Lies, a young German girl who is taken away f room her mother, who is a communist, and sent to live with a German couple in Mulching, Germ many. An obvious example of terrorism that occurs in the novel is the “Night of broken glass” alls o known as Sarcastically.
On the night of November 9, 1939, Nazi soldiers rushed through the streets of Germany and break any windows they can find and plundered Jewish business sees. Terrorism is also clearly evident in the memoir Night. The story is about a tee nagger of the name Lie Wisest who lived in the town of Sight, Transylvania. In 1944, Likelier and his family were taken from their home and transferred to the Auschwitz concentration c amp, and then to Buchwald. The memoir takes place during the entire period of the holocaust t and shows to us what he and his father had to go through during the concentration camps.
A major example of terrorism occurs when Likelier and his family are transferred from the ghettos to concentration camps. When Likelier arrives at Brinkmen and is separated from his family. Hi el they were being chosen to either go left or right, Likelier notice a ditch with huge flames r using up from it. He saw a truck coming close to it and unloaded a pile of babies. Likelier can no t believe his eyes. He did not want to believe this and thought that it was all a nightmare and the at he would soon wake up from it.
It is horrifying that people like the Nazis would do this to Jew h people just to let everybody know that the Germans are superior. Other than examples in the novels The Book Thief and Night, there’s a clear c injection with Terrorism in the movies Batman Begins and The Dark Night. The movies are about a man named Bruce Wayne who is later known as Batman. He fights criminals like T he Joker and Era’s al Ghoul. A major example of terrorism is the beliefs of an organization called t he League of Shadows. The League of Shadows is an organization that works to manipulate history and correct civilizations and facilitate their destruction.
The view of this league ha much in common with the Islamic terrorists who hate western culture and hope to ova return western dominance for a new and moral world order. Additionally, according to the 9/ 11 Commission Report, one of bin Alden’s primary goals was to make the US “End the memoir laity and godlessness of its society and culture. They were taken to concentrate on camps where they were brutally tortured. Some of the Jews were killed in Gas chambers, so me were burned alive. As Terrorism is clearly evident in the past, it would make sense that it would also be evident in current events. There is one event that could be considered current that most people would consider terrorism. That event is the 9/11 attacks. The attacks occurred on a r jugular working day on September 11, 2001. A terrorist group, leaked sent 19 men to hijack four airliners and carry suicide attacks against the twin towers in New York City and the Pentagon in
Washington. Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks in New York and Washington, inch duding more than 400 officers and firefighters. Most citizens of the United States question them selves and the government why the attacks on 9/1 1 occurred. Presidential Candidate and alls o Texas representative states, “l see that motivation is occupation and those who hate us and would like to kill us, they are motivated by our invasion Of their land, the support Of their dictators that they hate. ” By this Ron Paul means that America is the cause of the 9/1 1 attacks. H e says that U.
S intervention in the Middle East is the main motivation behind terrorist hostility sees toward America. Lat is unfortunate that a country like the United States can cause its o won terrorist attacks by having American troops in other countries around the world and always in transferring with them. There are many organizations in America that are trying to prevent terrorism. One major organization is the war on terror. This is an organization established by Preside .NET Bush’s administration after the 9/11 attacks. The plan involved open and covert milt array operations, new security legislation, efforts to block the financing of terrorism, and more.
