ISIS has had multiple and terrible effects throughout the Middle East One effect that ISIS has on the region is its use of terrorism to control the pop ulations . ISIS is a terrorist group that employs horrible terroristic tactics in order to frig hten the people of the region and the world There have been a total Of thirtynine beheadings of people Of all ages . It is their way to intimidate the people of the region They record the beheadings and post it on all forms of social edia for the world to see They also do terrorist attacks to destroy ancient statues . One of their most recent attacks was the attack on the Tunisia museum; where they had a mass shooting and killed twentythree people (“ISIS apparently claims responsibility for Tunisia museum attack; 9 arrested”) People are affected by these attacks because they do not know if t heir lives or their families’ lives are in danger from ISIS Another affect ISIS has on the region is the way they make money to fund the ir operation
ISIS earned five hundred million dollars by stealing it from banks in June 2014 (“How ISIS Makes and Takes Money”) They make between one and two million a day in oil revenue (Ibid) ISIS also makes money from ransoms including sixtysix million dollars in 2013: a Swedish company paid seventy thousand dollars for an employee of theirs . (Ibid) ISIS told Japan to pay two hundred million dollars for two citizens but did not negotiate (Ibid) ISIS also harvests organs to sell to make money and control the crops in the Middle Ea st . Ibid) they also ave their own separate economy that mines for its own gold, silver and copp er coins for the “Official Islamic State Financial System” (Ibid) This affects the Middle East economies because the oil prices are way too high for the Middle East to sell for a profit . Some countries in the Middle East and Northern Africa are fighting back again st ISIS and their affiliates The U s is also involved, but all the countries involved are doing air strikes to weaken ISIS’ strongholds Iraqi forces have just retaken a key oil refinery from ISIS .
