One of the most importat talent of the Nile River is the ability to produce extremely fertile soil, in addition Egypt is depenedent of the Nile River for nearly all of its water needs.
The Suez Canal is 101 mile long that connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Red Sea a linkage vital to both Egypt and the world, since the Suez Canal is one of the world’s most significant waterways as it supports 8% of the world’s shipping traffic and almost 50 ships pass through the canal daily. Egypt has overcome many strides in the past few years, “making it one of the Middle East’s fastest growing economies. ”1 The country experienced a bold reform in 2004, which triggered its economic growth. A largely part of Egypt is uninhabited desert, where there is no possibility to crop or for a human being to live. The temperatures range between an average minimum of 14 degrees Celsius in the winter and an average maximum of 30 degrees Celsius in summer. Egypt does not enjoy a democratic society in the Western sense. It is a self governing body. The lack of fertile land forces Egypt to purchase resources from other countries. This lowers the available money to build the economy. Although Egypt has a positive growth rate, the country is considered poor.

The country is not a major producer of oil in the world; however, it is the largest producers of refined oil goods in Africa, producing 35 million tons of refined goods annually.
In addition to the extraction of crude oil, Egypt has natural gas reserves estimated at 45 trillion cubic feet, while potential reserves were estimated at a further 75 trillion cubic feet in year 2000. The government of Egypt has targeted Upper Egypt for development by private investors. Land in industrial zones in Upper Egypt is offered free of charge. The government will also provide hookups to infrastructure (water, sewer, electricity, and gas) and transfer land titles to the developer three years after project startup. Threats for Egypt Since Egypt is has 386,659 square miles it borders with countries such as Libya to the west, Sudan to the south, the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Israel and Jordan to the north-east.
Like Egypt, some of the countries which it borders with have government instability making it a threat for any investor for the intercity of what might happened tomorrow. Egypt remains a poor nation with serious economic problems including rapid population growth and the limited amount of arable land is straining the country’s resources and economy. Militant Islamists have had a strong and negative effect on tourism to Egypt, as their violent actions have killed hundreds of innocent people and injured even more. This has had a dramatic effect on tourism in Egypt since the mid-1990’s.
