TITLES OF JESUS
* The “Son of Man” (Mark 14:61-62) – is a title often applied by Jesus to Himself. It is an allusion to Daniel 7:13-14. * “The Christ” (Matthew 16:16) – is a translation of the Hebrew “Masia?”, the Messiah, and is used as a title for Jesus in the New Testament. * “Lord” (Romans 10:9) – a name for God; it means that he has authority, or ‘master’; Adonai in Hebrew . * “Messiah” (John 4:25) – literally means ” The Anointed one.” * “Leader and Savior” (Acts 5:31) – His being leader is a matter related to His authority. * “Redeemer” (Isaiah 49:26) – Jesus Christ as having brought redemption to mankind. * “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
