By the mid-20th century technology had allowed us to send the first human into space and have the ability to destroy a city with one nuclear bomb. Since then we have advanced greatly in the many areas of technology such as computers, transportations, satellites, new medical technology and procedures and hand held devices. However one could argue that our advancements in technology have been a detriment to our health and the world, even with all the benefits to our society. As mankind moves into the future, advancing more and more in the areas of technology, we need to decide which areas of technology will be beneficial to our society and which will be harmful.
