Game Literary Analysis

We know that people become stronger when they do not upend on anyone, when they think no one will be at their rescue. Ender in the future may eventually find himself alone and outnumbered. So, he needs to get comfortable in bumpy situations. As he develops in battle school he will encounter many problem and learn to solve it on his own. Ender has to know for fact that if he does not learn how to solve his problems, no one will do it for him and he will not succeed as a military leader. This quote is relevant because from what we have seen at the introduction of each chapter there are some men who discuss about Ender.

Those men have brought Ender to battle school and they want to make him the best commander the International Fleet has had. But in order for the plan to succeed, they have established that Ender must be isolated, those men have done all they have in there power to ensure he stays like that. They purposely made Graff turn Mender’s classmates turn against him in order to start his isolation. And as long s they are interested in Ender, they will keep on moving him through the battle school and employing different strategies to ensure he stays secluded. “He can have friends. It’s parents he can’t have. “(30) When Ender left home for battle school he was bullied by his classmates and Peter because he was a third child. Now, it is important that Ender is away from his parents so he can still think he is a burden to them because he was a “Third. ” As long as these thoughts are in his mind, then he will be able to carry out his mission in Battle school.

He needs to think he is still an outcast at home and in society in order for him to feel isolated. If by any chance Ender knows that his parents really miss him he would feel homesick, much more than he already does. Parents usually overprotect their children. They somehow think that their child cannot defend himself and usually they feel, as they need to keep them away from the problems. Ender must not ever feel that his parents protect him; he needs to feel that no one is going to solve his problems for him. At an early age Ender must learn to take decisions for his win and if his parents were in the picture this would not be possible.

In addition, if ender thinks that he has friends and family that misses him, apart from Valentine; he would become soft and vulnerable. They need to make sure he they keep him on guard and hard. He must continue to be a loner or outcast of some sort and to be alert at all times. Like it is said, Ender can have friends. In order for him to finish battle school he need to connect with certain people that will aid hit to advance in battle school. But the thing is that even though he can have friends he must not depend on them.

They will not always be at his side so he needs to learn how to survive without depending on no one. From previous chapters we have seen that Ender, who is only six years old, was brought to battle school. At such an early age he was told he was not going to see his family for ten years and that he had to leave Earth in order to arrive to battle school. Now, why is battle school not on earth? This quote is relevant because it was of most importance that Ender was away from his parents in the process of his development in Order for the mission to succeed.

Furthermore, we read that Ender was not even allowed to monomaniac with his family. Maybe if his family had known the things he was put through they probably would take him away from battle school. Because of their parents most kids do not reach independence at such an early age. It was important that Ender was as far as possible from his parents and placed in a situation where he had to learn how to depend on himself. .”Frightened children are so easy to win. “(31) This quote explains how children act in a new environment. Upon arriving at the battle school, the kids were anxious and scared.

Like peter does, fear is a ay of persuading somebody into thinking or doing whatnot want. The kids were scared because they have left their homes an their planet in order to arrive to battle school. They were confused, they did not know exactly what was happening or where they where going. For this reason they felt a little more comfortable because of Tap. Since the children where so scared at the moment, all that Tap had to do to win them over was to be nice with them. Like Tap did with the frightened children, Graff did the same with Ender.

As we have read this quote is crucial into understanding what happened teen Graff and Ender before their arrival at battle school. At a time full of emotions, Graff took the opportunity to talk to Ender. Because Graff was nice to him, he had though he had made a friend out of Graff. But as the story goes one see that Graff made a fool out of Ender and purposely isolated him from the group before he had even arrived. Ender did not know anybody yet; no real friend would have purposely made all the kids turn against Ender.

Graff knew Ender was full of fear but he purposely took the opportunity into winning him over and gaining his trust. But he tricked him into thinking that he was his friend but he was not. As it is known, adults lie to kids and ever since that moment Ender knew he was alone. “Not a bad name here. Ender. Finisher. Hey. “(33) Since the beginning we have seen how Andrew Wiggins manages his situations. Andrew is not evil; he does not take joy into hurting people. But we do know for certain that Andrew does whatever means is necessary to solve whatever his problems are, hence the nickname “Ender”.
